We invite you to see this napkin ring as part of "The British Collection" in our ebay store, "clst".
This is a striking English sterling reticulated napkin ring. It was made in London in 1909, as the hallmatks indicate - lion passant for sterling, lion head for London, and date letter, "O", for the year 1909. The napkin ring features a sterling circle with a shield cartouche in its center. The circle is backed by a dark brown mottled disc which serves as a background for the cartouche. The cartouche has never been monogrammed. Surrounding the shield are two crossed leafy branches ending in flowers. The reticulation on each side of the central circle is particularly well done. The diameter opening is 1.75 inches and the width is 1.25 inches. The napkin ring is in excellent condition.
