Ancient Neolithic Machang Culture Painted Vessel - CHINA - 2500 to 2000 BC
Genuine and ancient painted vessel from the ancient Machang culture of China.   Remarkable condition for 4000+ years old. Thinly potted and painted with beautiful abstract designs. Designs appear to be net-like, along with fish or insects?   Paint appears to be all original (many of these pieces are repainted), with no apparent repairs or cracks. Tiny flea bite chips throughout, but overall excellent condition, with only minor wear to original paint.
Please examine photographs carefully for condition.
Purchased years ago at auction, this is from my personal collection that I am selling to downsize. Unusual painted design on a scarce size and shape vessel !
