his exquisite antique French sterling silver napkin ring is beautifully designed in the “
repoussé
” technique with a pattern of thistles, one of the favorite motifs of the
Art Nouveau
style. It is monogrammed with the interlaced initials “AV” and bears the French “
Minerve
” hallmark or “
Minerve
Premier
Titre
”, indicating the highest quality of French sterling silver (950/1000), used in Paris since 1838. The

is the guarantee that the sterling is at least 95% silver. It also bears a maker’s mark consisting of the letters “

.” along with the image of a rabbit, the mark of
