DescriptionAntique Belle Epoque era French sterling silver napkin ring featuring elegant styling and engraved ‘Baby’. In overall very good condition with general wear. Hallmarked with the French Minerve 1st standard mark. In use from 1838, the mark depicts the goddess Minerva with a number 1 beside her to denote a silver content of .950/1000 silver (95% silver and a higher grade of finesse than the standard .925 for sterling). Bearing maker's marks for Parisian silversmith Henri Soufflot, active from 1884 to 1910 at 89 rue de Turbigo, Paris. In very good condition. The napkin ring measures 2” diameter x 1 ½” height. Weighs 42.7 grams.
