ANTIQUE GAUDY WELSH CHILD SIZE PITCHER & BOWL SET
Striking and lovely antique hand painted ironstone porcelain miniature children's toy Gaudy Welsh pitcher and bowl set - pitcher measures 4-1/3" tall and matching bowl measures about 4" wide by 1-1/4" tall. Bowl bears a softly scalloped edge, canted sides and vibrant decoration -- pitcher has a graceful shape with pedestal foot, ornate, applied handle, scalloped edge and pulled pouring spout - it is decorated in the same pattern which I believe is Grape - unmarked, but probably by ALLERTON'S dating 1870s-1880.
Condition is lovely with no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs, discoloration or damage - there is a bit of overpaint on the spout edge - that's all I can find. Imari colors are just lovely and size is sweet and petite - wonderful addition to any home!
