Antique Royal Baby Plate – Patented February 7th, 1905

Description

This antique baby plate/bowl measures approximately 8 ¾” in diameter and stands approximately 1 1/8” in height.  The center of the plate is recessed making it useful not only as a plate but also as a shallow bowl.  This plate/bowl features a cream-colored ground that is decorated with gold trim and pretty pink rose decals around the border and an adorable image of a little girl playing ball with her German Shephard dog.  An ink stamp mark is located on the base that reads, "Royal Baby-Plate - Patented - February 7th, 1905".
This piece is in good condition with the exception of overall crazing, wear to the gold trim, a few manufacturing flaws, some scuff/surface scratches and a tiny nick on the rim of the base.  Despite these minor flaws this antique baby plate has survived intact and in good order for over 100 years!
