THIS IS MY OWN EBAY SITE!  MY HUSBAND MIKE'S EBAY STORE  IS KNOWN AS "JUNKDEAL" AND HE HAS OVER 2200 POSITIVE FEEDBACK RATINGS! WE WILL BE SURE YOU ARE IN GOOD HANDS!!!
This is a roll of cloth-coated signal wire Mike gave me to list.  It comes from the salvage facility he works at. This particular wire came from inside complete signal box buildings that came in to be recycled. He removed this and more!
This particular roll contains short wires that are CLOSE TO 5 feet long.  Exact count and measurements are below.  Suitable to be used in short runs perhaps in signal heads or between relays.
It is multi-stranded wire with a rubber-type inner core and then a woven cloth covering on the outside of the rubber coating. Mike thinks this is an anti- friction method of protecting the wire.  He thinks it is not too common outside the railroad business.   He actually searched far and wide to see if he could buy it new from a supplier but no luck yet!
This wire is also very flexible!  Super-tight turns are possible, and kinks can be "ironed" out with ease!
This wire looks new.  It doesn't have kinks, slices, cuts, fraying, spiders, or dirt.  Nice almost black color!
The pictures above are representative samples of what it looks like, and what the rolls look like when shipped.  Not quite as much tape though!
It "mic's" out at about a quarter inch outside diameter, and somewhere around 1/8 inch or so inside.  It is many strands, so it is very flexible, and any kinks or close tight bends straighten out with absolute ease!!
Now, this roll consists of 12 wires.  They range from 51 to 54 inches.  just under 5 feet apiece!  Total of 52 feet or 624 inches!   THERE ARE (11) wires ranging from 52 inch to 45 inch, and (1) wire that is 51 inch long!
Last winter Mike sold a lot of this wire.  It was in most cases longer, on the order of 14 to 18 feet, since it came out of tall signal masts.  This wire comes from a signal case where the lengths are shorter.
This would work great on a signal restoration project for that perfect "official" look, and feel!!
