In this photographic portrait, a rather casual Ike leans against the back of a leather chair with his eyeglasses dangling in his hand.
At the ample lower margin, Eisenhower has inscribed: "For: Raymond Papaodero with best wishes from Dwight D Eisenhower".
Verso of photo is stamped: "General Dwight Eisenhower Photo by J. Anthony Wills, Houston, Texas Reproduction by U.S. Army".
9 1/2" x 8" matted and framed to: 15 1/2" x 12 1/2".
Dwight David Eisenhower (1890-1969) was the Supreme Allied Commander of European Forces during World War II and the 34th President of the United States.
Condition:
A few short light creases, unevenly trimmed behind mat, mounting remnants on verso, generally good condition and quite presentable.
