Description
This isa vintage Randahl sterling silver napkin ring
from 20th century Chicago. Please see my other listings and my eBay store for more silver items. This beautiful piece has a long thin form with a central emblem of the 1934 Chicago Worlds Fair, lightly hammered in the arts and crafts tradition. The emblem reads "1934 A Century of Progress". The inside is marked "JOR" with a hammer through the letters, for Julius Olaf Randahl, and it is also marked "Hand Wrought Sterling 55". Randahl worked for a time at the Kalo Shop of Chicago and later founded his own company. You can scroll down to see more photos.
This collectible item measures 2 1/2" long by 3/4" across and 1/2" high and weighs .6 oz (17 gr) on my little scale. It is in very good condition, with normal signs of use and some tarnish. There are no bends, dings or dents. The dark areas you see are reflections from my camera.
