    Description

    Large antique cast iron paper, desk, or letter clip of a peacock. Made in the United States around 1925. Attractively painted. The back is either dark green or black, and has a couple of small wear spots. The only visible mark is a faint "19" at the bottom left corner of the back side; it appears to have been written into the paint rather than embossed on the cast iron.
    The spring mechanism is strong and works well. The clip measures 6" long by 3" wide by 1.5" high when lying flat; it weighs about 11 ounces.
