Lot of 3 Antique Staffordshire "Girl with Goat" Transfer Child's Toy Plates, England, c. 1820 - 1840. This is a lot of three adorable child's toy dishes or plates. Two have a red and white transfer scene that shows a girl walking with a goat on a leash and one has a blue transfer of the same pattern. There is a floral swag chain design to the border. The smallest red dish is marked with both a printed mark that reads, "GOAT" and an impressed mark that reads, "EDGE MALKIN & CO." This pattern is illustrated in "English Toy China", by Doris Lechler, figure # 84. The other two dishes are marked only with a printed "201" mark. I offer this lot of three Staffordshire child's toy dishes with no reserve and a Buy It Now. SIZE: The smallest toy dish is 4 1/4" Dia.. The larger red toy dish is 4 3/4" Dia.. The largest blue toy dish is 4 15/16" Dia.. CONDITION: The overall condition is As Found. The largest blue dish has a series of four hairline cracks which are not structural. The larger red dish has a tight hairline off the rim with minimal wear. The smaller dish is "As Is" with a hairline crack off the rim and some staining to the rim, which can only be seen from the back.
