    Description

Up for your consideration is a nifty art sculpture created by a resident artist at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, NY. After attending classes at MOMA resident artists create a gift for the renowned gift shop located in the art institute. The resident artist, Barbara Flanagan, that created this unique and unusual note clip holder used spring loaded electrical connectors connected to a spindle in the middle with a red spherical shaped ball on top to lift it about a room or office desk, a round plate of chrome plated steel for a base too hold this extraordinary art piece upright, and there is a rubber pad underneath the base to make it skid proof and hold it in place while clipping paper notes onto it  like Post-Its, Index cards, Business Cards, or any other form of notes to remind one of important dates or upcoming events on it.
Flanagan's use of electrical connectors, a sphere, and a circular base shows well that she has a deep concern for recycling spring loaded electrical alligator clips, geometry, form, shape, and function all combined into a practical device like the note clip holder in this listing creating a useful sustainable art sculpture to later be displayed at MOMA and then sold there too in their gift shop.
The sculpture is ideal for a business/home office decorative desk accessory to clip business cards on it, on a snack bar to remind family members of important and upcoming dates & events, in the foyer for sorting incoming/out going mail, on the kitchen counter to post grocery lists & to-do-lists also.
The sculpture measures 12 1/2" Tall X 6" wide X 3 1/2" in diameter around the base, it is in
    'mint'
condition and dates modern day. Underneath the base impressed into the skid-proof rubber pad reads the following: "DESIGNED BY BARBARA FLANAGAN FOR MOMA," BF the artist who created this unique & unusual art piece and MOMA the acronym for The Museum of Modern Art the institution she created it for also authenticating this sculpture as a piece of art made by a resident artist at MOMA for an art show and later their renowned gift shop adjacent to the museum.
