Nreal Air  released in March this year, is a smart glasses that can project a virtual screen equivalent to 130 inches in front of your eyes. It uses a Sony OLED device with a resolution (both eyes) of 1,920 x 1,080 x 2, a viewing angle of approximately 46 degrees, and a refresh rate of 60 Hz.
Previously, projecting (mirroring) external images on Nreal Air was limited to Android smartphones and other devices with USB-C (DisplayPort Alternate Mode). By using the newly released adapter, video output from an iPhone, Nintendo Switch, or PlayStation 5 can now be displayed on the Nreal Air.
In addition to the Nreal Adapter, the Lightning - Digital AV Adapter, an accessory for iPhone, is separately required when connecting to iPhone.
The adapter is used by connecting the USB-C cable included with the Nreal Air to the source device that outputs video. No setup is required. Once the source device, adapter, and Nreal are connected, the image is projected onto the Nreal. The adapter supports signals up to 1080p at 60fps.
The adapter is battery-powered and has a continuous operating time of approximately 3 hours (when playing streaming video). Dimensions are 61.4 x 45.4 x 23.3 mm (W x D x H), weight 74 g. An HDMI (female) to HDMI (female) connector and charging cable are included.
