    Description

PENNA CO Obsolete Brass Railroad Lock, Pennsylvania Company.
This is an obsolete Railroad Lock stamped PENNA CO.
The Pennsylvania Company, later known publicly as the Pennsylvania Lines (west of Pittsburgh) or Lines West, was a major railroad holding company. It included the Pittsburgh, Fort Wayne & Chicago Railway (the PRR’s main route to Chicago) and the PCC&StL (“The Pan Handle Route”). It was incorporated in 1870, and merged into the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1918.
The lock is made of solid brass, is in “as found” condition, and the keyhole cover is missing. It certainly appears to have been buried (literally) for some time, and has plenty of heavy tarnish and oxidation.
I do not have the appropriate key, so I don’t know if the lock opens.
Item may be returned if not properly described or otherwise not satisfied. (Life is too short; it’s only a lock!)
Buyer pays Priority Mail shipping (2 lb) per the ebay shipping calculator.
