    ABOUT:
    I am selling a collection of European silver items so please see my other offerings and check back often : )
    Prettily detailed antique engraved round napkin ring, in solid silver, with a rose garland pattern in three places with linear stripes in between.  Made by German silversmith Jakob Grimminger, whose firm was founded in 1893.
    Has an interesting two initials monogram.
    HALLMARKS:
    Marked with a crown for Germany, 800 for silver content and maker's mark.
    CONDITION DETAILS:
    In estate condition considering age with some all over surface wear.   Some surface scuffs and scratches, but no deep dings or dents.  Some stubborn tarnish and darker or cloudy spots from age, especially on the inside.  It still appears nicely round. Often times these have indentations or become misshapen from hitting the table but this one has held its shape well.
    Sometimes pieces like these have a seam in the back where the napkin ring was curled and soldered together, but that is not visible here, it appears as one piece of solid silver.
    But as with all my estate items - Please see photos closely as this is not a mint condition item.
    MEASUREMENTS:
    Weighs 13 grams of solid silver.  It measures 1 3/4 inches in diameter, and the band of the napkin ring is 1 1/4 inches tall.
