Vintage 1938-46 Nancy Lee By R&B 14” Composition Doll All Original Clothes. Here’s the Good, the Bad and the Ugly truth of this doll: The GOOD is that besides her footwear, this doll is 100% authentic original, from her wig to her panties. The BAD is that her original dress has some holes in it. The UGLY is her original mohair wig, and the fact that what crazing there is on this doll, all seems to be on her face. There you have it! This 14 inch composition Nancy Lee Doll was made by R&B between 1938-1946. She features a short brown mohair wig that is clumpy but complete with no bare spots or thinning. She has bright blue glass sleepy eyes with shadow and painted lower lashes. Her eyes open and close as they should. She has a full set of real lashes. She has single stroke brows, rosy cheeks and a closed rosebud mouth. Her stringing is good. She can stand and balance independently and hold a pose. She has all of the fingers on both of her hands. Her composition finish is cracking and crazing primarily on her face. There is some rubbing on her neck. There appears to be a small touch up repair made to the top of her left arm, but nothing major. Otherwise, the composition to her body appears pretty sound. She is wearing a coordinated three piece outfit that unfortunately has seen better days, but is believed to be all original. It features a dress, full length slip, and panties, all made of ivory satin and trimmed in light blue ribbon. There are several small tears and holes throughout her clothing, including tears to her panties. Once again, not the best condition but 100% authentic. Doll is marked R&B on her head.
