Vintage Harker Whitechapel Translucent Thermoware Sugar Bowl c 50’sDescription:
You are bidding on a Vintage Harker Whitechapel Translucent Thermoware Sugar Bowl c 50’s. The Sugar Bowl has a solid white body with a subtle raised rope design under the raised white gadroon design rim with a basket of flowers & grapes pattern front and back.
About the Harker:
Harker China Company was founded in 1840 in Ohio by English immigrant Benjamin Harker Harker first produced yellow ware and Rockingham produced from local clay When Benjamin Harker died in 1847 the company was run by his sons George and Benjamin Jr In 1857 Benjamin and George separated and Benjamin operated his company with a different partner under the name Harker and Smith George operated the George S Harker Pottery Company which became the Harker Pottery Company known today
Condition:
There are no chips or cracks and the Sugar Bowl is in very good shiny used estate condition.
There seems to be an extra decal decoration by one handle (see pic # 2 & 7 for best detail)
Marks:
The bottom is marked with Whitechapel Translucent Thermoware U.S.A. in gold lettering.
